Volleyball always had been a sport that I always admired to take part in. In Korea, professional volleyball games were often shown through television. The sport seemed extremely fun to watch. So, I thought to myself, if I soccer is my favorite and only sport that I am fully familiar with, why can't I start with a new sport, which I might possibly be interested or be willing to contribute something.
As this thought grew bigger, I faced a bigger problem. I am not fully aware of the sport yet. I do not know, the formations of the sport. Also, I do not know what are the particular jobs or the roles of the positions in volleyball. So I thought, this would be a great opportunity for me to learn something as part of my CAS activity. This would be extremely "active" and will be a great opportunity for me to learn new skills. Also, this will benefit myself, as I will be able to learn more about a particular sport.
To take part and learn something more about the volleyball, I would like to take part in a team, and represent Brent School Baguio to the ISAC tournament. To do this, I have to participate the try-outs for the team. Then, I would have to give the coach a good impression, which will make him to choose me, as one of his players. After being picked as a member of the team, I will have to participate in the practice-sessions and learn more about the sports, that I take part in. The practice sessions will be held every Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays of the week, except for occasions when we do not attend school, which will be led and supervised by "Coach Roger Ngo," of our team.
My goal of this activity is not only to be able to participate in ISAC tournament, but also to be able to learn the basics rules, formations, skills, and positions of the sport.
